Encouragement Research Project
Fiscal 2023
In 2020, we embarked on “encouragement research,” wherein we conduct collaborative research with young scholars at the Theatre Museum. In 2023, six projects were adopted, and a variety of research was conducted.

These projects were selected and will be pursued in cooperation with researchers within and outside the institution, exploring various aspects of the Theatre Museum’s collections. The outcomes of Project (4) culminated in the special exhibition at the Theatre Museum titled “Emerging Words and Silence: Ōta Shōgo and His Process of Creation.”
